Ray Mead
Founding PartnerLocation: Winchester Ray Mead MBA MOP PMP has been involved in project management for over 12 years. He has a strong background in telecommunications and IT, but has managed multinational projects in multiple industries. Ray has also served as an elected Councillor for the City of Southampton. Ray has since been closely involved in the development and deployment of project, programme and portfolio management methodologies and capabilities, delivering successful PMOs as well as project skills education through training, coaching and mentoring. THE CLIENT
BP is a global oil and gas company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It is the third-largest energy company and fourth-largest company in the world measured by revenues and one of the six oil and gas “super majors”.WHY P3M GLOBAL?
BP turned to p3m global for assistance in resolving a number of critical issues including: duplicate projects in different parts of the organization, no clear control points to ensure project decisions were made in controlled manner, project delivery time and budget were unpredictable. Additionally, project managers lacked formal training aligned with best practices. As part of the solution, p3m global defined the role of the BP PMO, standardised the project life cycle and trained/certified project managers.
